Brakes or no brakes?

Brakes, because I can stop, pull them in the air to dip down, manual better, and scare people.

Both i guess. Haven't had them on for a couple of months but I may eventually go back.

I was die hard brake less for the longest time. I'm sick of paying for shoes and my bag of tricks is getting very stale. Same shit all the time. I'm back to brakes. Ordered a quickslic cable and new caps for my Evo 2s. And the trick combos you can do with brakes. Just opens up a whole new realm of possibilities . So I say brakes.

Every time I need to make a quick stop, I have to kill my shoes a tiny bit, but it's okay since I buy tons of cheap shoes. I've been running brakeless for 3 years so I'm fine.

Front brakes

Brakeless with fat tires, just feels so free.

Brakeless is fun, so are brakes. I wish i could run 4 pegs, 4 guards, and brakes all the way around, plus a coaster. The possibilities would be endless.

How long have you been riding? I only ask cause newbies who go brakeless before they learn any bike control is dumb.

Also if you like brakes run them it doesn't matter if they look good or not. Personally I liv gyro and fronts but that's just me. But I'm ordering some f25's soon to ge my front brake on

My btm is set up like that. Back brake, 4 pegs and coaster. I'm still looking for forks I like with brake mounts

I know s&m, odyssey, deco and primo all have forks with mounts. I'm just unsure which offset I should go with since I haven't ride front brakes in 7 years

Why can't you?

I have the parts to be able to do that just hanging out. You could get the Deco Fufork with removable brake mounts, a spare brake, lever and cable set for that frontie, and even the Ezra coaster/cassette, so you could swap the setup pretty easily.

And I run whatever sounds fun for a while. I was brakes, then front and back with a gyro. Then brakeless with and without a coaster, and now straight cable rear and no peggers.

I change my setup based on what I feel like riding.

We need some riders to do a stopping distance test. 3 bike, one brakeless, a rear brakes only, and a front and rear brakes bike. All bikes at the same time travel at the same top speed to a set breaking point. Then hit the brakes to see what stops fastest. Without a fish tail slide, and the brakes equip bike rider can't use there feet for stopping aid. Just to see what stops in the less distance only. Like the mythbusters.

I don't ride them because I'm too lazy to put them on lol. I got a pair but they're just sitting here.

I have no money for that at the moment haha thats a good 400 bucks atleast to get my bike set up that way! haha

I personally ride brakeless but if I used my bike for a major means of transportation then I would definitely use brakes.

I've totally considered throwing either a front or rear brake on to suit my riding though, but seeing as neither my frame nor fork have brake mounts...

F&B brakes stops first
Back brake & brakeless could be a tie. Putting your foot in the tire produces the same effect as brakes.

Brake less, I have brakes and will toss them on once in a while but brake less looks way better and feels better.

I'm brakeless right now, but i've been looking to get brakes for a long time, need mounts for my frame and a full brake setup though, has to be cheap, springfeild i was thinking.

I have run every Brake set up there is, just Fronts, just Rears, Front & Rears. Whilst i love Brakes & however much they frustrate me i do actually quite like working on them. I love Brake tricks the possibilities are endless. But there are some things that really annoy me about Brakes. Mostly the Levers but the two main reasons & i am gunna look like a total douche pussy now haha. 1. The Looks, My bike looked so busy & it didn't have the clean look i wanted & 2. Weight, Brakes weigh a hell of a lot surprisingly especially when you run a gyro & all the extras! I weighed all my Brake bits when i took them off because i was quite shocked at how much lighter my bike was! Just over TWO POUNDS!! That is a significant weight loss without them!

I rode brakeless for a couple weeks, its a good experience,but traveling really sucks. traffic gets busy, you hop on the sidewalk, and some slow walker merges in front of you. you gotta tear up your shoe and tire basically at that point. or start screaming like a maniac.
