I bought a 2015 chase edge and got it about 2 months ago. Been riding it a little after breaking my wrist, about once a ride, it would make a pop/click (almost cracking like) sound when I pedalled hard. I let it go for a few days but today I took the front sprocket off to check it, reinstalled it and now when I pedal forward, it makes a ticking noise near the back sprocket. If I have it upside down and pedal with my hand on the chain I can feel almost a grinding when the chain links pass a tooth on the back sprocket... Please help, Im used to working on dirt bikes so Im not an idiot with mechanics but don't know a huge amount about bmx bikes.

Bmx cassette hubs make ticking noises , it's the pawls inside the hub doing what they are supposed to

Even when pedaling forward? If so wow. Mines a pretty strong sound but ok

Chain alignment? Your back wheel is on crooked? Chains bent? Front sprockets bent?

.... And your chain is grabbing teeth on the driver in the back (your rear freewheel)

This, but also check to see if your bearings roll smoothly. Could be a bad bearing. If it has looseball bearings, you could have some grit in there causing damage. If you don't know how to overhaul a hub, take it to a shop or trusted buddy.

Took it to the shop. They think it's loose spokes making noise. We'll see if that fixes it...

Things you could do:

Grease the crank spindles

Lube your chain

Take a few spacers off to align chain (if chain is not aligned)

Feel spokes for abnormal play/softness/looseness.

Check rear driver bearings

Grease hub internals.

if nothing works by now, I will eat a shark.

It doesn't matter where a train goes. It's decidin' to get on that does.

Did you reinstall the front sprocket backwards after taking it off thus throwing off your chain line?
