How does that even happen?!

It looks like you over torqued a pinched stem.

Saw the top of the fork off, beat it through the head tube, buy new fork, stem and headset.

Oh, and just to preempt your next question: Odyssey R-series.

Your fork is pinched, it is shot. You will likely have to cut it off.

Your headset MIGHT be ok, BUT if you cranked on it too hard, there might be damage.

That star nut is toast. But when you buy a new fork, you won't need it, new forks would either be threaded, or have a welded in "star nut" that would be a lot sturdier.

Forks are pretty expensive alone,do you think I'm better off just buying a new bike, cheap ones like kink and stuff? Cuz my bike is getting pretty bad,and yeah..

Kink isn't cheap angry But, they do make the best bikes for the price, in real life. I know a few people who started on other full chromo bikes from Fit,Cult,Verde,Stolen etc. and they all literally just got destroyed in weeks, i myself started on a 2012 Kink Whip and i had an issue with a hub that kink worked with me twice and replaced the whole wheel in the end, otherwise the parts are mostly still floating around being used by others, since i have upgraded since then.

Buy a full cromoly bike with all sealed everything.

^this.

what on earth were you doing to that poor bike. My guess is you tried to tighten your stem to fix a loose headset, and when that didn't work you tried to tighten your compression bolt without loosening the stem you just tightened. And then you decided to tighten everything again until it broke.

If a bolt still turns under extreeme force, it doesn't mean it's loose. To tighten a fork/compression bolt you need to loosen the stem, then you need to tighten your stem to keep your fork/compression bolt from loosening and causing a loose headset.

Also, your bike is beyond the point of "getting pretty bad" I'm pretty sure that falls under the broken category.

Forks are around $120 a headset is around $20 a cheap bike is twice that ammount.

If you get a new bike and need to fix it, it might be cheaper for you to take it to a shop and have them do it.

If your wheels and frame are good, I would invest in the fork, or borrow one from a buddy and then save for replacement parts as you break them. And for God's sake quit hulking the crap out of your bolts hahaahaa
