My new frame has a longer headtube and the steerer tube is not long enough into the stem for my liking. Can i run it with no dustcover? Its long enough without it, i cant see anything going wrong besides. Going through headset bearings lol.

Remove spacers first.

You can. But it's a bit moody, you'll want some sort of spacing to prevent your stem touching the headtube
Yeah i need to get a low profile one or something because it doesnt look very good how it is.
Another question, is with this new frame my old chain is just a tad too small to fit. So i put another link in the full link chain. But now the chain is too big since you accually end up having to put two links in. Does this mean ill have to buy a halflink for it?
If you remove the dustcover, never remove the wedge thingy.
