You have to be careful with strength. I think the FLT would be fine but it would take some getting used too. I ride both Street & Flatland & i am currently mixing the two together with a new bike. If you want to run a shorter stem i would recommend looking into a 36mm S&M Enduro Stem or a Madera Mast in 36mm or 39mm. Also if you wanted to try something a little shorter but less extreme look at the Odyssey TDFL in 45mm All will be strong enough for Street.

Troy Merkle rode a really short stem, it could be used for street or flatland.

guy who used to ride in my town whipped & 360ed a 13 stair with a Suelo stem (Fly's flatland brand name) so I'd say it'd hold up good, but then again idk cause idk anything about that stem
