I have recently bought a united machinez spline drive sprocket and didn't really know what spline drive is and I do not have spline drive cranks but are they still compatible?

Well it depends. What cranks do you have? It looks like it comes with adapters for 19mm, 22mm, and 24mm 48 splined spindles. Also it states not compatible with Profile/Madera spindles. But yes you can use a spline drive sprocket with non spline drive cranks.

But you can't use them on cranks that aren't 48 spline

I figured that would be a given.
