So I just had a custom wheel made using the new Ody Clutch Coaster. When I went to install it and attach a chain (Shadow Interlock), it seems the teeth on the driver are too wide and the chain won't mesh with the teeth (the chain just sort of sits on top of the teeth).

The chain is brand new and locks onto my 28T primo sprocket perfectly.

Is this common, and if so what kind of chain would actually fit my hub?

Odyssey Keychain if you can just get a new chain!

but if not, get something pretty standard. I'm surprised this is an issue tbh

damn shame because i just bought and interlock chain and getting ready to order a clutch laced up, i guess take a file and just file it down so it fits

It is a interlock V2 3/32" Chain. I believe the standard. There was a super beefy "supreme" or something at my lbs, but I don't do any drive side grinds so I just bought this. Thinking maybe I need a 1/8" or something.

I honestly thought that chains and drivers for BMX equipment came in standardized sizes. I have built a bunch of bikes and literally never run into this problem before.

The standard size is 1/8" not 3/32"

Most sprockets and drivers/freewheels have teeth that will take a 3/32nd chain so they will work with both chains.Guess this is one of the few that isnt.
