Im kind of surprised there wasnt already a thread like this, but isn't it amazing that he won?

Through the years a lot of the X Games winners in park are the ones that do the most whips, barspins, crazy spins, etc. But Chase won. Which i think is well deserved because he rides so well and the lines he took really were incredible.

What happened to make him win, other than just the run? Do you think the X Games being in Austin really affected him winning? Are you for, or against him winning? Who were the judges?

Bezanson got robbed but that's alright chase hawk winning is fine he shreds....but there where guys doing the same transfers with more amplitude......Colton satterfield winning mega ramp was sick that dude kills it ......the park didn't look that great this year either

I think it's fucking crap. Austin definitely helped him. Bezanson should've had it. He had style too, and tricks. ORIGINAL TRICKS. Didn't he do a flair to manual? And that fufanu. Chase was stylish, but Bezanson deserved it.

in my eyes it appears it was just judged on style and speed, realistically if it had been judged on style, speed, AND tricks, then drew on daniel shouldve won. chase has serious style and flow, but he didnt do many tricks, and despite some people are gonna have a moan, in bmx park, they should definitely be partial judging on tricks, i definitely think the winner should of had style and flow too, but i reckon drew and daniel both outdid chase in the respect that they actually threw some sick lines together with some dope tricks in the mix, chase just flowed around and did a few tricks here and there, tables, etc, which is still knarly, but realistically not as sick as some of the other stuff thrown down.

That's what I am getting at. I mean, no doubt, Chase is great, but over the years X Games had been judged on the level of tricks. As much as i hate to say it, style points werent really in it as much as they must've been. Which makes me question who the judges were.

I'm not upset about Chase winning, i just don't understand how the X Games changed that much all at once. haha
