Apparently when you order a "complete bike" you're the one who has to make it complete. I knew I should have gotten a Mongoose from Walmart that was already built.

Shame on the company/mailorder/where you got it from, for not having the bike fully assembled so they can make the box as small as possible so you don't have to pay a fuck ton for shipping a package that could have been 30" wide, 3 feet tall, & around 5 feet long! But nope, they didn't fully assemble it, which in return made it easier on your wallet & the shipping companies. What is this blasphemy.

when I bought my pegs, they didn't come attached to my axles already. Had to take the bolts/nuts off & put them on myself like some kind of neanderthal, I was furious. So I emailed the company & they fixed the problem no questions asked.

The envy is a super sweet complete. When I started getting back into it, I ordered a Redline Column, and within two months had already built a totally different bike because, in spite of it being a "Full aftermarket complete", it felt too small, even with a 21.25" TT. Looking back, I probably would have either gone with the Envy, or a Sunday Special bike, but the Column got me onto a full custom in record time, haha.

I was looking at the Soundwave Special too. Looks like a super nice bike as well. I've heard people say that you can't beat a full custom bike with top quality parts, but it seems like the manufacturers are building bikes with a lot better parts than they used to. What are you riding now?

That is slick, Chuck, really nice. I bet it feels pretty spacious. Today was a little cooler than it has been, and it might rain later. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice and be in the 70's for most of next week. I do feel lucky for that. I'm off work next week, and I'm looking forward to riding some.

Lol, I just realized that my previous post looks like I'm referring to my bike, but I actually am talking about my 5 month old daughter, haha. And thanks! It just feels like a normal bike now. It really wasn't a big change, just feels more like a bike should, to me, anyway. What was your first impression of the Envy? Does ir fit well, or will you be making some adjustments, like higher stem/bars?

The Envy rides nice. My last bike was a 21" TT, so the fit of this one feels pretty close. I think the rest of the parts are nicer on this bike than my old one, and that makes it feel a whole lot smoother and more solid. I'm not sure how short the back-end of my old bike was, but the Envy definitely feels more responsive to bringing the front wheel up. Most of the people I've talked to mentioned the shorter back-end of the Envy, so I kinda expected that. All in all it felt great. The only thing I may look at is my pedal option. I'm not sure how I feel about plastic pedals yet. Who knows, may just be something I need to get used to.
