Alright, so I know that all khe coaster axles clutches and drivers are interchangeable... What I want to know is can I put an ACB bearing in an astern shell?

Im askin because if I can, it would be the same as the greyhound hub because it uses the geisha shell (gray version of the astern) it also has an ACB bearing, and the male version uses the astern axle. So if I could buy an ACB bearing and install it, I would have a greyhound for like half the price...

If anyone knows if I can do this, I would appreciate the help

I'm no expert, but surely if everything else is interchangeable, then so would the Bearing? Like I said I know very little about Freecoasters so I don't know.

The bearings are totally different numbers... Because theyre different types of bearings. So looking up that does nothing...

I would guess not, as the ACB would likely have a different race it sits against. An example would be a bottom bracket bearing VS an integrated headset bearing. The headset bearing needs an angled race to rest against. The BB doesn't. So if you put an ACB in a spot like a BB, it wouldn't be effective due to being supported poorly.

Best bet is to contact KHE.

the outside has no angle. the angles are in the bearing. an judging by my research it will go right in. ill just upgrade when i need to.

Fairly sure the ONLY difference between the male version of the Greyhound and the Astern is the shell.
99% sure the Astern already uses an ACB (angular contact bearing).
