I have a Colony Clone freecoaster and was wondering if standard universal guards such as the one from federal will work with a coaster? Colony makes a none drive side guard for my hub but not drive side. I'm aware of the Uniguard, but it's also double the price and I'd prefer to run a plastic guard with plastic pegs.

This is the Federal one I mentioned.

just run a fuckin uniguard and get it over with i have 2 of them with plastic pegs works fine trust me you dont want a plastic guard. youll go through 30 of the pastic ones before you go through one uniguard. also uniguard u can lock in grinds really good with em uniguard is like $14 and u never have to buy another one...

The only way it wouldn't work would be if it rubbed on the spokes

You're probably right. Also there's a lot less messing around every time you need to take the wheel off.
