What's up guys, I don't remember the last time I've posted here but I'm finally building up a new bike and am having a small problem.

So I grabbed the united supreme build kit to build up a frame, I'm in the middle of putting on the 2 piece cranks and the crank bolt that is supposed to thread into the spindle is too small and won't tighten at all. Has anyone had this problem with the united build kit? Am I doing something wrong or is this a mistake on their end?

Too small as in too short? Maybe you've put more spacers on the bb than you need?

Too small as in it won't thread in to the spindle at all. I only used the bb cone spacers and the sprocket too, so it should fit..

Here's the crank bolt they sent me, I can shove it all the way into the spindle and it doesnt catch the threads at all. It kind of seems like they just sent the wrong bolt.

So I'm positive they just sent me the wrong bolt. It doesn't fit the spindle, and also the hole in the washer is quite a bit bigger than the diameter of the bolt. Has anyone here had experience with uniteds customer services and/or warranty? Are they pretty good about it?

I might as well share for anyone interested. Fit savage 20.75 with the 2017 united supreme parts kit. Sprocket is a gt 27t. Feels good to finally have a fresh bike, just sucks to have to wait on one crank bolt

That blows. I'd contact the manufacturer or head to a shop, as much as I hate doing so.. Maybe they'll have an extra bolt if its not a spindle problem

Edit: i looked again, i almost definitely think they sent the wrong bolt and that you need a larger one. That hole is large

Strange... Wonder if there's a specific frame model for the crankset and/or spindle? Maybe reserved for only United?

Either way, that's weird... Or just because they just sent the wrong bolt, haha. That sucks, hope you're back on the bike soon!

So I emailed united, they said the whole batch of parts kits had the wrong bolt lol. They sent the bolts to dans and one will be sent to me once they get it. It's too bad I gotta wait a little longer to ride but it's cool that theyre on top of it already
