Ok so where my pedals screw in stripped my cranks (stock element 08) so i took cranks off a fit series 1 . Just the spindle n crank arms because the fit has amer. BB. When i tried to put the profile cranks in they wobble a bit unlike the eastern spindle which needs to b put in by hammer cuz its snug. Theres a silver spacer in the bb which is stock with the element nd the profile spindle is a bit less beefy then the eastern ( just the part that remains in bb. WHAT DO I DO? do need whole new bb this bikes new or will the gold spacer hold it snug in the bb?

Look at them and see if they are different sizes because that is probably the problem.

what does mm stand for?
millimetre.

you should be able to measure the spindle with a ruler, or even just look at it ,its 4mm difference pretty easy to spot

its not the length im havin trouble with its the diameter of the spindle

|

here is how to fix it.

Take the fit bb, Take the fit bearings out of the American shell. That will make the bb work as a mid. So now you can install all the fit parts and it should fix your problem.

Tell me if this helped you.

then measure the diametre, is it that hard to measure something 19mm wide? and there is a tool for measuring outside and inside diametre called a vernier caliper, but you probably dont have one.

can you even get 20mm cranks?

|

8/8/2009 5:27 PM

i think

|

8/8/2009 5:34 PM

i think you should do an accurate measure, coz it could be misread from 19mm or you may not have measured from the furthest points on the circle and it may be 22?

ya the diamiter of spindals are 19,20 or 22 you probably wen trom 19 to a 22 you either need a new bb or a new spindal
