DON'T DRILL YOUR CRANKS.
Return the sprocket. Get one that works with socket drive.

Can a bolt drive work with a socket drive?

Tree makes socket drive sprockets. Why the fuck would you buy a mission sprocket?
I'm on the vital legit list!
Well if your crank arms are crappy redline ones then that means you dont have socket drive cranks. Do you mean spline drive?
no you're talking about bolt drive, socket drive is the nonagon thing that holds your sprocket w/o a sprocket bolt, spline drive uses a 48 splined spindle and the sprocket slides onto that. Bolt drive uses a bolt to hold your sprocket in place. So if i am right that little pin would be the bolt that holds your sprocket into place.
I think I know what your problem is. Your sprocket has a 15/16 bore (24mm), which is where the sprocket slides on to your cranks, and your cranks are more than likely 19mm. Which means your sprocket is too big for your spindle. You'd need a sprocket adapter so your cranks fit on your sprocket. You'd need a 15/16 to a 19mm sprocket adapter for your cranks to work with your sprocket. Hope I could help you lol
Yeah the pin in your crank arm replaces the sprocket bolt. Something worth upgrading at some point.

What they said. You don't have socket drive. You have some more basic cranks. Your sprocket will work as long as you have the correct spacer for the spindle.
