The guy at my local shop was pushing the Sunday pretty hard. It just happened to be in stock while the Cult was not.

Both are ugly colors.

Which would you pick?

The Sunday is steel w/cromo drop outs and semi -sealed rear hub. The Cult is aluminum with sealed rear.

We weighed the Sunday and it was 21lbs which is close to the Cult, which is weird.

I can still get the 2013 at a shop down by the beach which looks much better and can save me a few bucks.

Cult with the sealed rear hub. That'll matter more then a headset.

Plus Sunday's image is all for little kids on 16' doing double whips and trucks. Sunday is a little kid brand.

The ONLY advantage the Cult has over the Sunday is the sealed cassette, also taller bars & shorter cranks, but that's a preference thing.

if he's going to just be riding it around, the cult would be more ideal as rear hubs tend to need adjustment more than headsets, so it would be a better, longer lasting choice. But if he's going to be starting to do tricks on it, the Sunday would be the best bet without a doubt. Sacrificing the sealed cassette for a stronger frame/fork would be worth it in my opinion. That aluminum frame will break quicker on the Cult

Thanks for the input everyone.

The guy at my local store showed me vids of little guys doing tricks on Sunday's.

The Cult"s bars are a little taller, it seemed a little bigger overall.

At his weight (44 lbs) I don't think that the Frame strength is as important the overall weight of the bike. Even though the Sunday is steel it's not that much heavier. As he gets heavier this will become more of an issue though.

I guess I'll just let him ride both and see which he feels more comfortable on. I think he'll be more comfortable on the Sunday because of it's size. It's ugly though...
