Hi

Has anyone ordered a complete bike from Dan's Comp and had it delvered to the UK?

It says the postage will be $194, but the bikes are much cheaper and there is a 20% off discount code.

For example, If I buy a 2012 Fit BF 3 bike ($530) at dan's comp and use the 20% code = $424
Then shipping ($194) = $618

$618 = £396

If I were to buy the same bike from a UK retailer (Evanscycles) it costs £569.99

That is a pretty massive saving. Am I missing something here?

Thanks

On a related note.I bought my calafia from wiggle.com in the UK.It was $98.00 to ship it here.Things must have really gone up.shocked
Anyways, some brands/things will not work with discount codes. You can do a trial order. If it all goes through, then order from Dan's and have enough left over for some chips.

It says on Dan's:

“Any applicable customs, excise taxes and/or duties are not included in the shipping cost.”

@ keironw74 Did you have to pay for this?

I checked and this would add 14% customs charge and 17.5% VAT on top of that upping the price quite a bit (Although it is still slightly cheaper)

(e.g

£396 + 14% (£55.4) = £451.44
£451.44 + 17.5% (£79) = £530.44

£530.44 is less than £569.99 but hardly worth going through all that to save £40.

And obviously if I break it and want to use the warranty, I would have to ship it back....

Should be, I just went with what the HM Revenue & Customs website said.
