ehh, sliders once you learn them take less effort. more effort to make a really sexy slider though, I don't think half cabs are harder but I do think they take a bit more effort

Well IMO halfcabs gotta be done over/onto something otherwise there's not really any point so maybe that's why I think they're harder. Peg height halfcabs don't count.
