they look a lot like the rubens but a bit bigger (im hoping more comfortable) and a bit cheaper.
anyone here have any experience with them? im thinking about getting some. im not a big fan of plastics.

I think there's a lot better pedals for the price. Not a fan of the fixed pins, plus the pins in the middle eliminate or hinder your ability to pedal slide things. I'm personally going for sealed Macs for my new build. If you want something trusted, I would go for Trailmixes. Big body and beefier spindle.
