Just watched the replay of the new dew tour dirt jam it was sick might be my new favorite format to watch, 30 minute jam of nonstop runs and Crazyness , anyone else see it ?

imo it was fucking boring
i'd rather watch a 30 min jam on full trails instead of two jumps
then it wouldnt be a "who can do the most flips barspins and tailwhips in 1 jump" contest
watching the same people charging full speed through real trails would be cooler, i'd rather see a steezy t-bog on a hip than a double whip flip bar decade oppo flip bar whip
plus crandall bf and moeller would have been better than adam 22, hell even catfish would have been better
i understand they did it for the press on tcu, but it didnt fit very well at all

Didn't get to watch it but I didntnknow it was just two jumps that's disappointing I never liked commercial contest dirt competitions, they're just straight box jumps

The xgames one in Brazil that Clint Reynolds built were cool though, shark fin I bet that confused some people

Alright let me break it down like this. I was watching the live stream and got bored after about 10 minutes, and here's why I think I did. All the riders looked the same doing the same tricks on the same jumps. I really like a more spot oriented type of riding, which is why all the edits of 1000000 different grinds on the same foot high ledge makes me get bored. If they had maybe done a line with more than just 2 jumps in a row, I probably would have liked it a bit more.

Wow you're so call bagging on a bunch of guys for doing stuff that you wouldn't have the balls to even try. Bit of a reality check for you here as well, go and watch an old dirt contest, they were always full of guys pushing it as far as possible to try and win because its a CONTEST, if you want to watch flowey trail riding go and watch an edit. Contests need to have people pushing the limits, that's what it always has been and always should be.
Also sure you may find people doing big tricks again and again boring but watching 10 Chase Hawk clones do 360 inverts all day would be equally if not more dull to watch, especially over this two jump setup

Anti-Style Gymnast routines are not fun to watch, boooooooring!!
but what can you expect with that Dew Tour set-up and it was a best trick contest so style does not apply,
obviously -look who won!! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!

Baldock is so boring to watch, I get it, he has tricks for days but whatever, I turned it off after 7 minutes, LOL!!

The last thing bmx needs is a best whip contest fmx already has that and it's a joke and those dudes kick the shit out bmx whips , styles alright and all but Kevin Peraza was doing better inverts then most style guys after doing a 360 tuck no hander in the same jump into boosted inverts on the quarter , anybody can do dead sailors and whip some style into it it's not that special unless you can boost amplitude with it

Fuck you and your opinion.

Honestly, quad flips, quad whips 1080's, quad footjams are awesome to casual audience and probably attracts more attention.
Flowy shit don't matter to casuals as it looks "easier".

Circus Tricks brings audience, audience bring money, money attracts sponsors, sponsors pay riders.

Fuck you for editing your post. lol

Yeah, fuck your opinion.

It wasn't even a real dirt jump comp. Two jumps. Wtf. How about a trails jam at ninth street judged by riders that can respect style and such. Multiple cameras along the trails that link together during the runs, that'd be sick.

8/18/2014 9:02 PM

Not real?

They looked like dirt jumps to me.

dirt lip, dirt landing = dirt jump.

It was in the middle of a street, it's not like they could add berms, hips and stuff.

My only issue is, I didn't get to ride them.

That totally ^
