Was thinking about when i got my premium a couple years back and started wondering if i was a hoarder for keeping it along with not even full crmo. that's what got me wondering? am i the only one who's kept my fiirst frame?

1/24/2017 9:05 PM

No, but I wish I did just to have it as a keepsake.

I did however keep the matching handlebars and still have them lying around somewhere. Plus a wall of random parts I've broken I call the "wall of shame"

I got my first 20 inch in 1977.
I got my first 'bmx frame' in 1982.

I no long have either of those frames.

No because my dumbass sold it cause it was "too heavy" It was a haro backtrail x3

Yep! Four years strong, still my current. Should it snap in the near future, or whenever, really, it will always be a keeper for memory.

I still have every old frame and even parts still laying around from all of my old mid school bikes. Still have a couple of them complete!

1/25/2017 6:49 AM

Unfortunately no. It got stolen...along with the rest of the parts.

I have my second frame though...1988 Mongoose Californain Pro.... the one that replaced the first one, which was an '81 Supergoose

I wish I did. I always gave my frames away to kids as I grew out of them. Raced for Dans Comp and Diamonback for a few years and had a bunch of frames and then a few customs from Harry Havnoonian, but my first street frame was a Bully Hot Rod. I should have hung on to it.

technically I'm still on my first aftermarket frame- OG Broadcaster. I hate it, its tiny lol

Honestly? Who gives a shit. Its the fucking internet. I hate all of you equally.

There's an 1979 sears supercycle F&F in Sparkle Red hanging in the garage. It's tiny and made of skinny tubes...

I still have my first aftermarket frame, an Eastern Dragon c. 2006. Silver, 14-somethin'-inch CS (I think?), a hair over six lbs. Just started riding again but retired it 'cause I now have the money to buy new shiny bike things occasionally.

Yes, a heavy Felt ethic frame from 2004. Not fully crmo but it was designed to be resistant as hell. The whole bike weighed around 15 kg

2/8/2017 8:36 PM

No. I bought my bike way back when I knew nothing and the frame had terrible geometry. I just recently got the money to upgrade. Now I ride a bsd Alvx and it rides perfect.

2/15/2017 2:07 PM

Yes. I've only been riding box for a year. It's too short for me. Want to upgrade to a 20.75 and also dented the chain stays doing dumb kick outs into concrete pillars. It was cool though
