Does Eastern suck?

They've only got a lifetime warantee and lifetime crash replacement and a pretty awesome trade-in program that accepts all makes and models. At the shop I work at, some kid bent the rear triangle on his Eastern Traildigger (obviously from heavy riding, not manufacturer defect). Guess how much it cost him for a new frame. 100$? Nope. 75$? Nope. 50$? yea Nope. 25$? Yup. 25$ for a new frame and his old components out the door. Eastern does work.

Umm...new Traildigger...they're not going to give him a custom frame just because he bent his Traildigger frame. Eastern doesn't even make custom frames for the public.

I'm wanting to get some of there cranks. Lightweight, 48-spline, Warranty, and the trade in program all for $110. Sounds reasonable to me.

THIS i have run an eastern grim reaper v2 for the past year now and its still holdin up, most the people who say they snap and shit suck and i am way better than them anyways and go way bigger

i bent there bars on a six stair but they were the stock bars so its understandable. not to bad of a company imo

Eastern makes some good parts, just they're lower end products aren't as great, and cheap kids buy cheap parts then complain cause they don't last as long.

Besides the fact that this has been brought up way too many times, no, Eastern does not suck.
Just like any other company, their lower end parts and completes aren't very good (which is why if you ride hard, you shouldn't expect the parts too last a long time).
Also, many hard riders buy their lightweight frames and expect them to put up with their hard riding.
Honestly it's common sense that if you buy a 4 lb. frame that it will not put up to hard and sketchy riding.

No, eastern does not suck. I have snapped two traildiggers but i got new ones for free. But all stock steel frames arent the best anyways, and they have the best warranty there is

I have been running eastern frames for like 4 or 5 years now and never had any problems with them and love the frames. Eastern makes some awesome higher end products and also offers some more "affordable" parts and frames and completes for those learning. So a lot of the complaints people make are about the lower end products that people are abusing.

I am currently running the new Eastern Codec frame and it is beyond perfect in my opinion. Lots of innovative ideas and has a super solid feel

Haters will hate, but I doubt most of them have actually RIDDEN eastern parts.

Eastern has great frames and one of the best warrenties.
They're also quite affordable for what they have to offer.

Kids buy their low end parts and stock bikes and then break their shit because obv if you pay for cheap parts then the quality isn't going to be as good so then they claim that eastern is bad because they broke a cheap part or whatever but really eastern is a really sick company and their higher end stuff is really dope!

jk, the reason they say eastern sucks is because they had a problem with there frames a while back, but it's all good. In the end, you get what you pay for, if you buy cheap parts, you'll get cheap parts

Eastern stuff is ok, its on par with most of the Taiwan crap that has flooded the bmx market. I wouldn't run an eastern stem or fork though.
