These kids at the skatepark said they're "scratches" and they're caused by "riding your bike." I don't see this on any of the bikes on here so I'm a bit confused. Help?

it's definitely genital diarrhea herpe warts. Mine has them too. The doctor prescribed me some stickers to cover them up but other than that, there's not much you can do

That explains why no one knows what these "scratches" are.
I'm on the vital legit list!

10/10 I would win.
But seriously, WHO THE HELL CARES? Why do so many of you think scratches on a bike = skills?
Less scratches typically means less bailing/throwing of the bike (More skill), and someone who ACTUALLY CARES TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR STUFF.

Because then you couldn't be a smug prick and think you're the only one that rides. 2 small scratches on your fork = total badass.

That's true. I like when my bike is good and ridden looking. Not like super clean and new looking, but just worn in and good looking. Mine is finally at that point again.
On the other hand i really really hate the Primo 7 series rim in the back, it's garbage. Imma have to lace my Odyssey Hazard Lite rim up to the Ratchet because the Primo can't handle it. haha

That's the best part about dirt, usually never tears things up.Hell I put 10 hours of riding today on the steed and not a single new scratch. Maybe I should strap it next to a couple more bikes on a moped to get some trendy scratches.

Having a clean/unscathed bike can of course mean you always land your tricks, never bail out, but can easily also mean you never try anything challenging(Of course you could but never mess them up, in which case good for you)
But a beat up bike can also mean you try a lot of things, not just throw your bike. My first Sunday was beat to hell from learning everything on it. Dents on the downtube and chainstays from learning to grind, along with several scratches, my current Sunday also has a few dents on it notably on the seat stay from fucking up a gap to smith grind and flipping over the bars and the seat stay slamming into the ledge..
so really (In my opinion at least) no one's right or wrong when it comes to having a clean or beat up bike.
