I'm building a new bike. I'm going to use the Cult Dehart which has a 5mm dropouts and I don't know how to buy wheels yet. Do all wheels fit on any bmx frame? Or are there certain measurements that dictate whether it fits or not.

That’s the thickness of the dropout. The only thing you need to look at are the axle size of the rear wheel, and the size of axle the dropout will accommodate. That frame has 14mm slots. Pretty much all aftermarket wheels have 14mm axles

There’s definitely an element of truth to this.

OP, what’s your parts list?

I plan on using the Fit OEM 20' Cassete wheelset which goes for $159 on the Cult Dehart. Will it fit?

Because that rear hub is 14mm, as are the Dehart frame's dropouts. This is freestyle BMX. 99.9% of stuff is standardised when it comes to matching parts together.

Just to expand on jbales’ response, this is the measurement he’s talking about:

If both the axle and dropout are 14mm, you’re golden.
