So my headset I think makes a sound when I throw my bars, there’s a bit of a dry sound like when you have a dust cap rub against your head tube or something of the sound. There’s nothing touching that I can see. Only thing I could guess is in the compression but it’s new so I don’t know

Um is your compression cap like cranked cause its not supposed to be super tight, your supposed to loosen your stem bolts and crank the cap until its tight and a wee half turn then crank the shit out your stem bolts.

Take it apart, put sharpie around the top of your headtube, put it back together, spin the bars a few times and then take it apart again. If the headset cap is rubbing, it'll take the ink off wherever it rubs.

What I do is just tighten it little by little until my front wheel doesnt make my steer tube wobble around anymore.

Sit on your bike while you tighten it slowly and push your front wheel into a wall back and forth gently until you feel no more movement. Then i give it like a quarter turn more or so.
