Hello,
Can't find some good reviews about this hub. Anybody had experience with this?
Planning on getting this hub next month or by June maybe.
Does it require maintenance? Does the pawls tend to get worn out faster than a regular cassette hub?
Also if in cassette mode, Is it loud? I don't want super loud click sound.

Its not an over the top stupid loud hub which is good. When in cassette mode it doesnt require much maintance, the bearings seem to last alot longer than reguar freecoasters but yeah if you want to keep the slack to the same amount it will require the same amount of maintance as evry freecoaster.
It would be safe to say it's the best freecoaster on the market right now and you likely wont be dissapointed.
Friend has it and I am the one that maintains it for him and we havent blown the bearings in it yet so that is going great.
You can also get a wide variety of hub guards or it but i would stick with the one made for it.

Great to here it's not stupid loud. I don't ride hard so I guess I won't be blowing bearings anytime soon. And maintenance is easy also close to no maintenance.
Definitely buying this when it arrives. I hope I can get it with a good deal.

I just read about the slipping and popping issue with the hub. Is it that serious?

I've liked the design since it was announced. I actually would LOVE this hub. It's just a matter of extra money/finding it is red for a reasonable price.

Then I need spokes to lace it up.

I would love the idea of swapping some guts to make it a cassette or coaster.

Back when I worked in a shop I could have bought it for cost, but they NEVER had it in red.

I hope there would be a polished one. Or black at least.

as someone who actually has one, and rides street, it works ust fine in coaster mode. occasionally in coaster mode when coming out of a fakie, and a bit of pressure is applied, it pops but doesnt afffect anything

We've been selling these for about a year now and have not heard any complaints!

It is fairly loud in cassette mode but nothing crazy.

I might use coaster mode for flatland. I hope it won't pop much often.

Hey, what are the colors available for the coaster?

It's ok for a cassette to be loud. But "loud" like crazy loud, I don't like it.

I've seen black most commonly, I think polished, blue and red are the others. Also gold.

Ebay has a bunch of them, 179.95 USD.

I've heard if people damaging the composite plastic disk in it pretty easily

I'm a punk bmxer, I can't do it well so I do it loud.

You mean the clutch disk? Damn! I thought it was made out of aluminum.
