Why does everybody love them? Are they more durable or just better looking?

A bit of both, but I think female axles in the back look disgusting.

I'm just wondering, because I'm getting sealed from hub. I screwed mine up.

Female is always stronger, plus it does look a bit cleaner.

14mm female should be a must for the back. I've busted two 3/8 female rear hubs already from grinding. Not really meant for grinding in the rear with female 3/8.. In the front, it really doesn't matter. Plus, 14mm male in the front died way back.. Now, if they made 14mm female for the front, I'm sure a lot of people would go for that.

I converted to female rear because my male axle kept getting bashed when I accidentally landed on it doing pedal grinds. Female front and rear all day.
