I'm limited to my phone camera. Making the best of it. So, should I get a tripod for it? Use it for stationary filming and like a monopod thing (I'm thinking of the thing that is like a handle to a camera, when you're on a skateboard and you hold on to it the make your filming steadier)
Next. Skateboarding. Should I just be good with a pennyboard? They sell some cool ones in reno.
Thanks in advance, I've been fooling around with video editing software.

don't buy a tripod or skateboard...save up and just buy a better camera.

as for now, you should be fine without a tripod or skateboard. you can use a bike for filming lines. the filming is gonna be a bit shaky, but that's pretty hard to avoid.

What video camera can you recommend? I finished all the jobs I could and am scraping up all the money I can now.

hmm i'm not an expert on cameras but you'd probably be able to find a nice camera for 150-200 dollars. As for now, you should be fine with your phone (depending on what phone you have).

You can get a super cheap tripod for your phone. It's nice to have some static shots thrown in to avoid things getting repetitive. The only real advantage of filming on a board is there isn't a loud cassette clicking in the background. Also, the thing you're talking about is called a stabilizing handle. The name is kind of deceiving tho. It doesn't stabilize the video very much. It does a decent job but its really most useful for following someone doing a line. That way you can hold the camera down low easier which is the look most people want. Plus you can stabilize the video in a video editing software.

As for what camera, if you want an action cam I'd suggest the sony as15. I have one and it's legit for $120 on ebay. The stabilizing handle is a necessity for action cams tho because its awkward to try and use it to film as if it were a normal camcorder. They're just to small.
If you're looking for a more conventional video camera that all depends on your budget.

If you have a nice phone (iphone 5+, Galaxy S3+, LG G2, etc.) I would just get a kit. I bought one off Amazon for like $30. Came with a tripod, fisheye, macro, wide angle, telephoto, case, cloth, etc. Everything works fine.

As for a board, theyre nice IF you can use them. It can be super hard to get stable clips on a board. I usually prefer just to use my bike, a few times I have used a long board. I wouldnt spend money on one though unless it was set up perfectly for filming (I.e. cruiser board, ceramics, large wheels, etc.) which would be a hard hit to the wallet.

You can make a hand-held camera mount for your phone if you want one. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

I have an s3. Awesome camera. And a kit? I was just going to.get a five dollar tripod. But the kit sounds very intriguing.

You can film fine on a bike. Hold the phone steady in one hand, have one foot on the pedal, and have one foot right above the ground so you can push/drag it and slow down. You could always save up and get a better camera too. I have like a $100 Nikon coolpix from Walmart that works fine

Honestly? Who gives a shit. Its the fucking internet. I hate all of you equally.
