I recently picked up a 2007 NOS Fuzzy Hall Mongoose Legion frame and am considering swapping my parts from a custom built 2004 Fit Pro Trail frame.

Is the '07 Legion a better frame? I'm not certain, but I think it is lighter. The '08 Legion frame had the following specs (20.75” top tube, 13.75” rear, Butted SANKO SEAMLESS cromo frame). The Legion has a Spanish BB and gyro tabs welded on.

Thoughts?

If you got some pics post them up it always makes a topic more fun to get into.

Id say go for it, a newer frame is a step up and going from a stock frame to a aftermarket is legit. Mongoose makes legit stuff still its just hard to get in the US.

This "kid" is trying to embed pics from the web or upload pics from a tablet. I guess I have to use a pc to do so.

Here's the F-it Trail Pro (2004 or so, I believe).

Cane Creek Tank II headset, TNT stem, Redline Monster cranks, Odyssey 41t chainwheel/sprocket (obviously a thread-on rear), front wheel is an old school SR hub and Alesa rim, rear wheel is a Schwinn XS wheel off of Hydramatic Team, Schwinn Special Ops fork, bars are off a Schwinn Super Stock, Tech 99 lever, Hombre brake, and of course the fattest Type 3 knockoff tires I could find (belong on a BMX bike).

So the plan is to buy a build kit or simply buy a decent complete to strip parts off of and save some of this older stuff for an older BMX build.

Which frame is the better frame? I am guessing the Mongoose because it is all Sanko tubing.

I can't find geometry, let alone top tube length, for the F-it.

BTW, I am looking for Pantera V bars. I can't find 'em anywhere.

That goose should be just fine. Do you know if it's heat treated?

It's full cromo, but I've seen no mention of heat treatment.

Here's the same bike. Wish I had the complete.
