So each summer I buy a bike just to fix up, put OK parts on, ect. So I stumbled upon this. Seller wants $30 bucks. I'll probably just give it away to a kid with a crappy bike. My plans are for this:

I wouldn't do it man. kinda a waste of money. just investing stuff into a bike not worth it... if you do buy it like they said, buy it for 10 bucks and just give it to a kid. don't invest anything into it. and tell them to upgrade stuff as it breaks, instill goodness and money smarts into some folk

Can anyone make sense as to why Tony Hawk got a BMX Walmart brand? The dude didnt really ride BMX much, only every now and then and a lot of the skateparks he funded dont even allow bikes. Wtf.

So should I? It's not for me, its for a any random kid that could use a decent bike. I don't mind losing money. Or should I look for something better to build off of?

don't go for it. like I said, the only way id get it is just to give it to the kid, without any new parts, and only if it was 10 bucks lol

hell yeah you should. I've done the same many times, it's fun as hell to make a turd polished-enough and hook up someone who wouldn't appreciate higher-quality anyways. I've actually got a POS mongoose (like, wal-mart style) that i've been meaning to do a quick makeover on and give away, too. Kudos to you man, i've done that twice before, just giving someone a bike like that and i would never change that (nor would i have given a quality bike lol. but some bikes aren't ready for the trash heap, and easy work / cheap parts make them golden in some newb's eyes)
