if you get something 8.5 so, 75 ht, 13.3-13.5 cs it will work for just about anything

I'm leaning toward the failure maniac but I'm not sure but I wan a 20.75 TT 13.3-.5 cs and not too low of a frame

I won't tell you what to get. Honestly, it annoys the shit out of me when kids say "What should I buy" and then they buy something without looking into it, then whine they hate it.
So do some research and find what you like. A better question would be asking "Does anyone have any experience with this frame?"

And don't listen to this testimony without asking followup questions like
Does he throw his bike?
What does he ride?
Big drops and hucking or smooth?
Does he know how to assemble/maintain his bike or have a shop do it or does he ghetto rig everything and ride it til there is a problem that gets really bad?
How much does he grind?
His statement is too vague. The buddy could have been throwing it, hucking himself on everything massive, hit by a car, slamming it down on ledges and rails, and so on. We do not know what kind of abuse his friend put it through.
And honestly, you can suggest any frame out there, and I guarantee at least one kid on here has a friend who "cracked it a bunch, and he doesn't even ride that hard".
Maybe ask the company if they have a lot of warranty claims on it? Most companies wouldn't lie, they may not say a specific number, but they will typically tell you about their pros who ride the shit out of the parts without issue.
