Sunday Soundwave. Exact same geo.

The CK is $370 and has absolutely nothing special about it.

The Soundwave is $380 and is probably one of the strongest frames ever made. Plus it has a lifetime warranty.

The Soundwave is stacked with numerous trick extras that make it a very special frame & with a lifetime warranty you cant go wrong! However myself i find Sunday stuff quite boring lol.

Subrosa frames have similar geos to the CK frame.

Aside from the bb height, 75% of frames have that geo

I hate Premium more and more as time goes by. The CK frame is so generic and dumb. The sad part is, all these little kids that suck chads dick that "love him, and have to support him by buying his frame" are buying them. While Premium is just sitting there stacking money. Look at Subrosa, they just put out a kick ass frame, that is super affordable, and nice. Subrosa put riders in mind first with the Noster, and not themselves.

This.
Simone collaborated with Subrosa trying to make the frame more affordable, and it came out really nice.
I never supported Premium and they really need a game change, they are just overpricing generic shit and getting kids yo pay for it through the CK image.

You cant compare the Noster to any frames out right now. Its completely different within itself because it has no butting or tapering done to any of the tubing. THATS why it is cheap. not because Subrosa is taking a hit to help all your wallets out.

As far as the CK Frame, there are a TON of frames with very similar geo. Most frames have 75 degree headtube, 13.3ish-13.8ish backend and have a medium size standover. Chad designed the frame feel very similar to the Aurora.
AND FOR THE RECORD: Premium has a 100% no questions asked lifetime warranty on all their frames. If you have a broken aftermarket premium frame hit them up they will be good to you. If not, tell me and I'll talk to them, I am tight with the warranty dudes.

The idea was making a cheaper frame, Ryan Sher (I think it was him) when he first introduced the frame said they "reduced some of the bells and whistles from our other frames"

EDIT: According to the Interbike video it says the front end is double butted, bit the Danscomp specs say only the seat tube is butted.

Premium CK frame : $370
Haro SD V2 : $300

EXACT same brands, almost exactly the same build, same specs, same everything. Proves you're paying for "CK" on a gusset

It seems like it didn't really turn up to be that cheap then, 370 for a generic frame is definitely not cheap.

I know someone who's getting it JUST BECAUSE it's Chad's frame. Might not even match his geometry preferences, but because he fantasizes about sucking Chad off, you could probably hand him a frame made out of toilet paper rolls, tell him it's Chad's signature frame and he'd pay just as much for it.

Honestly OP, like said above, go with the Sunday. $10 more but you get so much more with it. The last frame you'll buy for several years.

The SD wasn't supposed to be that cheap. LONG STORY SHORT: the factory in Taiwan accidentally charged Haro the manufacturing price of the entire frame UN-heat-treated. So Haro turned the savings over to us, the consumers. However after the first production someone at the factory realized they made the boo-boo in the paperwork, but lucky enough for Haro the paperwork was already finalized so they got a sweet deal. looks like the sweatshop workers in Taiwan are taking a pay cut down to $0.03 an hour.

The Premium Aurora is $420 for a triple butted downtube and full heat treatment. If you're right, and if Haro made the SD V2 with the same build, you'd have the exact same frame by the exact same company just with a different rider. Which proves my point, everything is the same generic crap but with peoples names on it.

I know this is off topic but do you know if 2011/2012 Stock Haro Frames had a noticed problem with Cracking on the Chainstay near-ish the Bottom Bracket? It's just I know 2 people that Cracked Haro's at that point (A 300.1 and a 000). Not knocking them btw, they lasted as long as they should.

For 370, you could get almost any frame currently on the market

I know some people have said this but i will say it again Premium IS Haro. Its their "Premium Quality" Brand. As mentioned again, you are paying a shit load more for Chads initials on a gusset. Its fucking ridiculous the prices of Premium frames. They have nothing to make them better than any other frame on the market. Some once again as mentioned like the Noster. Subrosa & Simone wanted a high quality tough frame at an affordable price. They hit the ball out of the park with that one. I don't really like Subrosas image or the frames Geo. But they did good on their promise. The CK frame is supposed to be "Affordable" Its the same price as the majority of American made frames. If i had a choice between say a Fit Benny (which i own) or a Premium frame i know what id choose. Hell my Custom FBM wasn't alot more than the Aurora frame! FUCK THAT!

I would sink an extra 50 or so bucks and order up a custom from FBM or Standard.

What makes the Aurora so much more expensive is the hydro-formed down tube. The process makes the down tube into a triangular shape this making it arguable as strong or stronger than a gusset. Also this process is very time consuming and expensive. That's why it cost so much more, its about the opposite of the Nostra. It has all the bells and whistles while the Nostra is just straight tubed metal. Not saying one is better than the other, they just appeal to different people.

I personally wouldn't ever ride a Subrosa unless it was handed to me for free and was brand new, but yes I'd ride a premium.
