I say bunnyhop for when you pick both tires up at the same time, because it resembles a bunny pouncing and springing around
And horsehop for the whole front end then back end technique because it resembles how a horse jumps.. think it all just depends on the area you live. I just moved few months back and everyone out here only an hour away says JHop

We say deer hop here, but we call it a bunnyhop.
It's weird, it's like we all understand the unwritten law that says "A bunnyhop is two wheels at the same time, but a deer hop is pulling up your front first, then your back to hop.. but just call that a bunnyhop or you're gay, unless you actually do a two-wheel at the same time hop, then in that case.. just call it a bunnyhop with both wheels at the same time."
it's confusing as hell how it sounds, but we all get it haha.

I'm curious how or why people justify what a bunnyhop is, when the term has been used since at least 1981 to describe a technique.
bunnyhop = front wheel first. and has been for decades.
with that said, I just call hit a hop.

2 tires at the same time doesn't even qualify as a hop for me.
The only term I accept is bunny-hop and can be abbreviated to just hop.
For instance I would rarely say "I'm gonna bunny hop that" I would just say "I'm gonna hop that"
