How do you put this thing on? whats the little rope thing that comes with it for? I know its pree simple but the zip ties dont even sit flush on the guard ... also just got a new kink headset and it makes a sound when i spin it around not like a creak but more like friction sounds its not to tight or anything i could just be it breaking in btw the headset is brand new

Weave the string around spokes and through the slots on the guard.
Grease all contact areas where metal touches metal. Make sure it is together correctly.
