I would get one of the protech ones just because i know there a good company for that kind of stuff, but aslsong as there certified you cant really go wrong.

Protec classic, Bucky lasek model. The clear one because its rad as fuck and so comfortable. I wear mine around the house and when I'm driving to the park. It feels like a hat.

Nope. The classic and the Bucky lasek are two totally different helmets. The BL has a ton of padding whereas the classic has about half and it's not even comfortable.

Get the TSG it's CPSC certified. The Protec Classic is good, it's certified as well. DO NOT get the Protec Bucky or Full Cut, even though they are super popular and may be a little more comfortable, they aren't CPSC certified, so they will probably protect on a super small crash, but any big crashes it won't do much. That's how Maddog got so fucked up, by wearing a non-certified helmet. So it doesn't really matter what helmet you get, as long as it's got CPSC or equivalent certification.

whatever helmet you get make sure it is certified.. if it isnt certified dont even bother getting it... i mean mad dog had his brain injury while wearing an uncertified helmet...

right here we go, the full cut is not certified but it uses thicker padding and a hell of a lot more of it then the bucky lasek, the only reason its not certified is because it does not use the hard polystyrene stuff. both the full cut and a few of the capix helmets used foam but really thick density so unlike the bucky you cant bottom them out so they provide good protection (still not quite as good as a hardshell one) so they are a fairly reasonable choice as they are a hell of a lot more comfortable, so here it is put simple;
run a mile from the bucky lasek
helmets that use thich foam (capix and the full cut) dont provide quite as good protection as a hardshell but are far far more comfortable
hardshells are the safest but the least comfortable, thats it in a nutshell

Just make sure you get a certified helmet, that way you don't end up wasting money. I wanna get my hands on a Bell Segment helmet by they're a bit pricey...anyway props on making the decision to wear one
