If you look around long enough on Craigslist you can possibly find one that is decent enough and costs a little under or about the same as the Kink Launch.

this all the way.

check craigslist
ebay
pinkbike

look for things like chromoly, the parts are much more reliable and a lot stronger that the tensile steel

also make sure all the bearings are sealed
