So , i ave a shity hub on my front wheel , and i dont want to eat concrete when ill train my double peg grinds. So i don't want to spend too much and not too litle , it can only be one of these:

Eastern Classic
Fly Bikes Hub
Odyssey Vandero II
Proper Microlite
Cult Match female

Theyre all around the same price , i would go for the cult.

I can't get the BSD brand in portugal :/

Yeah i heard something about vandero's suck.

|

8/29/2013 9:11 AM

I have owned the Vandero 1 and the Vandero 2 (female axle). I like both and those hubs are still running strong. I can"t comment on the other choices because I haven't tried them, but the vandero is definitely a good one.

Whatever you pick, make sure to go for a female axle and get a hub guard. That should be a pretty solid setup.

As i said , i don't wnat to spend too much. 90€ is a bit overpriced no? i can only go for 70€. The flybikes hub is in promo for 65€ . The proper hubs seem to be good too.

proper , cult or flybikes? what would you choose.

the 7075 aluminum is more resistant tan the 6061 , so i might go for flybikes. i want someday to get a cult part :D

Get the cult with a hub guard, if you can't afford both the hub + guard then get the fly one you said is in promo and get that with the guard
But warning the fly hub can not run a gsport glland guard, just saying in case where you are buying from doesn't have the fly hub guard

Hub guards are quite expensive i'll not use them for now , or i'll cut some grip flanges and use them as guard. I've been riding no guard in the back i didn't ad any hub issue ( i do feebles only ).. . The flybikes hub in promo is the same price as the cult (65€) . I was searching more and i found something interesting. The Alienation TinMan front hub with 61% off. 35€!!!

Body: 6061 T6
Axle: 7075 T6 heat treated hollow with 3/8″ mm hollow bolts
Bearing: 4 sealed cartridge bearings
Holes: 36
Flange Diameter: 47mm
Pitch Center Diameter: 38mm
Center To Flange: 34.2mm
Weight: 175g

i might go for this now. it costs 90€ and its at 35€!!

The you're gonna have an even worse time.
I'm not even kidding the fly front is possibly one of the shittiest front hubs on the market right now.

OP I'd go Vandero I had mine fror a while now and it's doing good, proper aint bad either but in all honesty I'd avoid the Fly.
Best front hub I ever rode is no doubt the good ol' Marmoset, you really can't go wrong, I miss that hub so much haha.

go for a bsd. they should be strong and don't go for male if you are grinding.
try and save a bit more for a g sport marmoset. best thing money can buy and actually not that heavy. best hub for grinds ever and only $90 in most cases.

Primo N4FL v2 are made for grinding.
Comes with 2 hard plastic hubguards that act as the bearing hardware, that protect your hub and spokes, and prevent hanging upm on grinds. Also extremely cheap to replace.
Chromoly center axle and bolts
And its flangeless, which gives it a unique look, and keeps the spokes a bit more out of the way and potected from grinds.
17mm socket and 8mm allen key both work for tightening.

Not to mention its extremely inexpensive. About $70 USD I believe.

I've had the v1 for two years now (alloy guards and axle) and I have had 0 problems with it. Though I do plan on buying the v2 chromoly axle for it. Just a little more trustworthy than alloy.
