Yo guys,

What's the best and cleanest way to cut the flangees off your grips? (Thumb and index guards)

Stanley blade, scalpel if you have one.

Easiest way, but be careful, use the bottom of a seat post, pop a cm of the grip with the flange part you want to cut on there and slowly go around with a box cutter etc. Keeps the grip from folding in and gets a real clean cut.

You could use your bars, but I don't recommend it as you'll damage the paint and probably the tubing with scoring but if you don't care then you can do it that way as well, I just suggested using the bottom of the seat post because it's the least important part on a bike.

Or something in similar diameter though what you have on hand is fine.

This works fantastic with a brake lever on the flange side. smile Might go back to this myself sooner or later.
