Easy. Pretend you don't care, and act like you like something else better. I ground my son from his Xbox. I have grounded him from his "good" bike before, because he left it outside over night, and it was covered in frost. He didn't care, since he only rides it to his friends house, or when we go out riding. Funny thing was, he wouldn't ride his crappy bike over there while he was grounded from the good one, he just walked.
Parents try to take what you like the most. Pretend you like ANYTHING BUT what you actually want to keep.

OH MY GOD THIS! MY mom used to try to take away my bike and i would say in the most sarcastic voice i could muster "oooh what will i do? Not sit on my computer for hours thats for sure" then roll my eyes and within an hour or two id have my bike back.... Except for once when she just took my laptop
