Current bars :

IT BIKE CO. "EDWIN" 4Q BARS
7.75 rise
24.5" wide
11 degree backsweep

I am debating on going to a higher rise so i feel a bit more comfortable. What do yall suggest?

8 in rise or 8.25?
Thinking about going with the Premium Whiskey Bars.

Edwin bars are quality. I wouldnt go any more than 8.25" I did & i fucking hated it. Ive gone back to Scerbo V3s, "Small" bars for me at least are much, much better!

I liked my verde cartels ALOT even though I hate verde.
But I went from 8"TL to 8.75" & frontload & its like effortless at times but it does feel a little wide for me.d d

when i got my new bars they were 8.5" rise and like 28" wide my old bars were 7.75" rise and like 25" wide. for me it was a big change but once i started riding them for a while i really liked them tbh i wouldent go anything bigger than a 8.5" rise. you would prob feel comfortable with a 8" rise or a 8.25" rise depending on how tall you are. also when i got my bigger bars i felt like i could manhandle my bike a lot more and it felt easier doing spins. ive tried my buddys perfect 10 bars and it feels like im riding ape hangers. another thing is buy your bars plenty wide enough cause you can always cut them shorter you cant add any width and who knows you may like them wider and wont have to cut at all.
hope this helps

8.25 all day with bars cut to 27in is just perfect for me, I'd ride a 8.5 on my trails bike but couldn't go ne higher than that, big bars are only really necessary if your a taller rider but whatever feels best to you I guess.

You should give the animal big4s a go, I got em recently and there easily my favourite part on my bike, they feel so comfy and just the right height for me.

4-piece bars tend to have more upsweep, although alot of companies are seeing the light & going for 3-4 upsweep now.

8.25 would probably be good, going from 7.75 to 8 wouldn't be that much difference.
Give yourself some time to get used to them though when you first get them, sometimes when people try out something new on their bike they instantly write it off because it feels different than what they're used to.

i know what you mean. since you are 6ft i would prob go with 8.25 rise or even 8.5 rise. what i did when i bought different rise bars was i went to my local bmx shop and rode some complete bikes that had the size i was looking at buying to kinda get an idea how they feel its not perfect but it did help me on choosing a set out.
