what do u prefer and why?
i like riding with low pressure because it makes the impact softer and bunny hoping is so much better for me,
it sucks though to ride far places with low air pressure, it slows u down but for tricks and all i prefer it, its better on my wrist joints too, it also depends on ur weight most heavier riders i know like them full pressured

|

8/15/2012 1:29 AM

I like high pressure because I like to go fast, kinda o.o

High pressure u will get less pinch flats and go faster. Also if your pressure is to low ur rim will hit whatever you land on and destroy your rim i run about 90 psi

This topic has been posted so many times, you should try using the search bar, anyway i prefer around 60-70psi, i blew a tyre trying to pump up to 100, and it destroyed my tyre, it was cause of my air compressor though.Couldn't hear shit for 2 or 3 hours.

|

8/15/2012 5:52 AM

id try looking here helpful shit

|

8/15/2012 7:02 AM

hard, to go fast, is just what you're supposed to ride them at to protect your rim

Whatever is recommended for my tire, I ride that, or go like 5 PSI above. I use an air pump, and I get to like 115 PSI on my FAFs. I fuckin hate 65 PSI tires. They lose soo much air after a hard session of riding..

Usually ride somewhere around 90, on my machete tire it really doesn't feel all that hard though

|

8/15/2012 9:22 AM

I love landing on hard tires. But if I land too hard, it could hurt. Never really tried a big drop. I thought of getting the Haro MS-4 tire. That thing is 120 PSI! Must be like a fucking rock! >xD

Stupid bullshit, every tire does that you just never notice it because your tires are in high psi already and I hate high psi

55psi front, 65psi back, great comb and I love it

I used to run 90 in the back and 80 in the front. Now I'm too lazy to pump them up and they're at like 65 in the back and 55 in the front. I like it better.

i don't worry about it much. pump em up to around 65 and don't put more air in until they're super low. i don't like high psi tho.

usually 70-80, but whatever the situation calls for, just came back from riding a new park and had to let a good amount of air out there cause everthing was to fast, like id go up a bank to footjam at the normal speed, but id just be going way to fast at the top of the bank, so i dropped it about 10-15 pounds.

|

Thats the 18" tire. The one that is 120 PSI is the 20 x 2.0.

What tires do you run? And 55?? Whats the recommended of your tires? I remember riding a 1.95, 45 PSI in the back, and a 2.3, 50 PSI in the front. Now I went to 115 PSI and it feels so different, no lie!

Primo dirt monster up front 2.10 FAF, I never want to go past 55psi for the front tire it's the perfect psi for me, I run more psi in the back just for pumping at parks, hard rock tires feel like shit, no feel whatsoever

I have KHEs. If you pump them up to there max 120 it sounds like you are rideing on baloons. Scary fast too, like you can drop into a bowl and its so fast that it almost feels like the bike is geitng away from you.

100 in the back for sure, i think my front is around 70-90 not 100% sure. hard back tire for less flats ( never got one all summer) and a little softer in the front so it doesn't hurt if i don't land good.

|

8/15/2012 8:44 PM

i like running soft PSI but my bike doesn't, my fat ass can't ride on low PSI tires or i get pinch flats. I ride on a higher PSI on street and lower on trails, i need to find a tube that likes us bigger guys (i'm about 200lbs.)

|

8/15/2012 8:48 PM

75 in back 65 up front... It's the perfect balance of speed, comfort, grip, feel, and saving my tubs and rims. It's all opinion...
