My guesses are either blown bearing or the lock nuts on the rear hub are to tight.

Blown bearing in the back wheel or in the Bb?

Remove your rear wheel from your bike and try spinning it with your hand. If it feels smooth then it's not your hub but if it feels clunky then my guess is that it's your bearing. What hub is it?

He might be better off leaving the wheel on his bike and just taking the chain off. If it IS the hub, it might not be noticeable off the bike. So OP what you should do is take your chain off and keep the wheel tightened onto your bike, then see if anything's dragging there or feels like shit when you spin it, including the driver.

Also check to see if your hub guard (if you have one) is rubbing the spokes or hub, make sure your tire isn't rubbing anywhere, and make sure nothing is hitting your brakes if you have them on too.

Do you have the internal BB spacer installed btw? Not having that in could make it feel like you described as well.

I don't have a hub guard brakes and my tyre defiantly isn't rubbing. I rode chain less for a day and sometimes my back hub would move wth the wheel and click but beside from that it spins really smoothly. It's a Bsd street female. and yes the Spacer is in between the two bearing in the Bb
