So these are up for adoption if anyone wants to steal them and put them into production. I don't plan on making anything more than a prototype of these for myself and a few homies. I think I over thought the Loader BB design, but I'm very happy with Pagand design even though its nothing new. Open to ideas and criticism. Sorry for the shitty photos, I did these all on Microsoft Paint.

Pagand
Basically a Ody Parend for a peg, it would be made out of nylon or some other hard plastic material that won't hangup on grinds if you get sloppy and hit it. It wouldn't be wider than the peg (no overhang) so it shouldn't touch the rail/ledge. The purpose is to A. Prevent skaters from bitching about "your peg will fuck up the concrete" and B. To prevent cutting your leg on the sharp peg edges C. Work as dent resistance to your peg, with a chunk of plastic in your peg (making it not hollow) it will be harder to dent in the edge of your peg. I haven't worked out a way to prevent it from pushing down into the peg (maybe it won't as is) but if needed, I think the kit could include a long alloy spacer that goes inbetween the peg end and the inside base of the peg or even just having it over hang on one side. They also have holes for weight reduction and a way to pull it out if it gets stuck. Photo

Loader BB

Basically, thin out the top of the bearing and oversize the bottom (where majority of the load goes). This idea would basically work for any bearing with a stationary outer ring. Picture pretty much explains it all. Im still working on this idea.Photo

Yup there logic was so the peg doesnt stab you when you bail. lots of peg stabbings in the early 2000's.

Makes sense. I just took a gander at them. Those seem legit for flatland purposes maybe. I don't think I'd grind with one.

You will be changing the BB height by using that bearing. And you would need a key way to make sure they are both at the same spot. Do people have a problem with BB bearings. Or can people not afford 10$ bearings anymore.

Its intended for 22mm spindles where (I believe) are too thin. This would be the last bb youd ever need. And you could ensure the bearings line up by putting them on the spindle and pressing them into the shell while on the spindle. Also, the purpose of this design is to keep the outer ring the same size as a regular mid bb outer ring. So if done right, everything would fit like normal and you shouldn't notice a difference (spindle would only be help a few mm higher). I'm sure its farfetched and dumb, but I'm just hooked on the idea.
