Just getting back in to riding again after about 10 or so years off... Went to my LBS and I noticed he carries both Fit and Haro bikes.

I rode a Haro 400 while I was there and it seemed like a solid piece... Wanted to try a comparable Fit Bike "21" top tube" but he didn't have one in stock right now.

I guess my question is... Is Haro still a legit bike company, or have they gone the direction of Mongoose and many others? I feel like I know that Fit is a reputable company simply because I see their bikes advertised in places like Dans Comp, which I've always had good luck with.

Any opinions would be welcome.

Also... I realize there are probably a ton of other great bike companies out there, but I would like to buy from my LBS if at all possible, and those are the only 20" bike brands he carries.

haro has made a huge comeback into the scene in the past few years with their talented team and awesome aftermarket parts. i have a haro sd v1 frame and its still a amazing after 3 years of riding. also i have the haro lineage bars and stem. both look and ride great.

Haro aint bad. Fit could be better or worse depending what price range model you get. A haro 400 should be good though.

Yeah the Haro 400 is good. As to the 21" Fits, those would be the Mac 3, BF3, Dugan Signature, and the Wifi complete. All are excellent.
