Ok so does this sound good? Its gonna be one main set
So you'll be on a platform like 3 feet that has a pallet surface where you would drop off of into a roll in
After the roll in, you would hit a 4 foot stepup to a 6 foot landing then hit some rollers to a fat hip. What else should there be? I'm gonna get like 12 guys to work on it so it'll be suuuper nice

Should have posted it in the trail thread so trail dudes would see it. I'm not sure how sturdy a pallet surface would be. I've stepped right through a lot of pallets in my time so idk if i'd ride on them. Are you saying the platform will be 3ft tall or long?

I like my trails to progressively get bigger as the line goes so starting at 4ft take off, I'd make everyone after that either the same size for bigger.
With 12 dudes helping you can get all that done pretty damn fast so it's good that you plan out now before you're out there building random shit

Step up your platform game sucka...

I almost built this type of platform but I found the deck wood conveniently in the woods not far from my trails

You can't really plan a line, it should be more about weaving in and out of the trees naturally, going with the flow

Is the ground you're working with flat or downhill?

|

Trails should follow the lay of the land. Is the area you're building on flat or does it have any elevation? Trails take time and usually as you slowly dig/build the layout will reveal itself. Wind the trail in and around the natural elements such as trees. Berms and rollers will make your trail feel much more like a roller coaster

Build your jumps further apart then you think you want them. This is because you'll make the jumps larger and larger over time and you'll need room for them to grow.

Post pictures of your progress.

Flat and no trees. But it might change who knows depending on where me and my friends build these haha. But 8 feet long and 3 feet above the 6 foot roll in. And then the platform would be dirt with pallets on top because wood feels waay nicer haha like dirt and then pallets on top of the dirt mound with dirt between the spaces on the pallets so its stronger. I personally want tiny jumps but then my friends wouldn't like em hahawhatever i'll learn to hit em. Also imma start wearing a mouthguard while riding dirt so i can keep my teeth. How can i tie my mouthguard to my helmet strap to keep it in? Its custom by my dentist so no strap hole :-(

Just cut off the cord thing and run it with just the guard.
Get a nice helmet too, trails are a lot more dangerous than your normal freestyle, pretty much need a DOT for my standards
You could make the place all tabletops and have decent gaps with safety-case room. If you build everything just right, it will be so smooth you won't even know they are table-tops
Search "Walnut Creek Pump Track" for ideas

I make the jump, go at it fast, record it, see where I land, build landing so I hit it at a ceartain point in the air. Not off the initial landing point.

*note, only works for lenght wise jups and medium size jumps. At some point landing flat at a certain height sucks dick.

Hazelwood is nuts.

Solstice trails are as big/fast as any set of trails. There's some recent videos of them on CanYouDigIt. go check 'em.

Well, if you don't wanna dig for years, find some rocks, logs, whatever, and pile them underneath in the shape of a jump and then just pile dirt on it. It will pack down faster and it cuts the digging and packing wayyy down.
