Bump. I am trying to figure out how to use this as well.

Haha there were some guys here back then that would think they were actually sponsored and put that shit in they're signatures like if they got hooked up by them they took it so serious haha I think one or two of the links in sundaybmxrr's signature is his "sponsor" from hookit or similar site

I actually never once claimed to be "sponsored"

I do however get hookups, hence the "HookIt" name.

I'll be honest & warn you guys, 99% of those brands on there wanna "sponsor" you so you buy a fuckton of their stuff and be like "Yeah dude I'm sponsored!"


But there are legit ones out there, such as Monster whose Monster Army gifts me with a free case every month free of charge.

If you WANT to get sponsored and need sites to do so then you obviously are in BMX for the wrong reason. I'm not trying to get free shit from BMX, I enjoy it. If people want you , they'll come to YOU ; if you go searching for sponsors your not going to get them by being greedy.

yeah but too many kids just choose seriously every brand possible, get picked, and then say they're sponsored by 5433525 different "legit" companies when in reality it's just a bunch of brands on there picking people to "rep" their stuff by buying all their stuff, some at full price or only a few bucks discounted. And it works because kids are dumb nowadays & all they want is a sponsor, so it's smart on their part I guess haha.



Basically don't go trying to get "picked up" by every brand on there just to think you're cool or something, cause every now & then a random brand emails me wanting me to rep their shit & I just ignore it rather than agree and end up buying dumb shit.

I actually didn't join that site to look for random brands just to be sponsored, a few years ago I was talking to Primo on Twitter (When John Richard was still the brand manager) and he was talking about making me a flow rider for Primo. I have email proof somewhere if no one believes me haha. He told me to go make an account on there & add/follow Primo and put in some application thing.

John soon left as the brand manager so that fell through, but I saw Monster on there & I put in a thing for them just for shits & giggles and was actually really surprised when they said they'd hook me up with some free Monster. No complaints here, saves me a fuckton haha.

For the record though I do ride for fun, but free stuff is also nice.

I am not looking for a sponsor. I just heard about the site from Curtis and if there is a chance for me to save even just a few dollars, I'm in.

Uhhh I have no idea, I'm old lolol.

I know I get emails once in awhile from random companies inviting me to join their thing which I usually ignore since they're one of the brands I mentioned above, and I get emails with codes sent to me. But other than that I think I have most email things turned off such as the "Email me when a user follows me" and stuff like that.

Okay. It seems as if Hookit is emailing me when the companies has received the application so hopefully they will email me. Thanks dude!

Lol I used to follow a kid on Instagram who would post selfies almost everyday with his Fuel Clothing t shirts and snapbacks and he'd tag Fuel and be like #sponsored #sponsoredbmxrider. Made me laugh.

I'd be down for beer or food sponsor.

I just accepted a so called "sponsorship deal" with Ryno Power Supplements. They seem like a pretty cool company. They offered me 25% off all products as well as free shipping with all orders. I thought that was pretty cool because my mom and I both like drinking protein shakes and taking vitamins and all of that so I accepted.

How much effort is required for this 'free' monster? I spend too much on that shit....... Though i aint gunna start doing anythin extra
