When it comes to bars, it's funny how maybe 7 years ago, 8 inch rise was considered TALL. Now that's the norm, if not kinda small. S&M makes perfect 10's and I've heard they're doing 11's. What size bars do you guys prefer? Would you rock 12 inch bars?

I definitely think the cutoff should be 11, that should be more than enough height for even your tallest riders.
I like about a 9" rise. Right now with my benny bars, flipped stem, and spacers I'm probably close to a 10" rise.

right now I have the bennys with a redneck and about a quarter inch of spacers, they felt huge when I first got them but feel perfect now
I think rise should be cut off at 11" anything over that's just retarded

10 or 11' should be more than enough. I was looking at the Solace bars cause i liked the geo but my friend offered to trade my a pair of perfect 10s for my old stock frame so fuck it, haha. they do seem really big though, even though im 6'2-6'3...i wanna downsize in the future

Anything bar height over 9" is too tall. from their a topload or front load depends how tall you are. im 5'10" and i have 8.85's on a small topload with some spacers. my buddy has 9's on a sexton stem with full stck of spacers and its too tall.

I'm about 5' 7" and rock 8" tall bars with a tall top load.
I see kids my height at the skatepark with tall top loads and perfect 10s and it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
I would say it mainly has to do with a combination of height and personal preference, but I know for a fact that some kids buy massive top loads and tall bars just because it's "in".

I run Directors with 20mm of spacers, Sunday Freeze topload with 53mm rise, and to top it off, some Fit Mac bars with 8.75" rise. And I'm only 5'2" at the max..

I see a lot of people comment on bar rise, and it will always come down to preference. 6'6" people who like small bars just prefer to be bent over while riding. 5'2" guys running elevenz like the look of the Harley riders with ape hangers.

I run 8.75s with atop load and probs like 2 inches of spacers. I'm going to get a front load and try and take out as manny spacers as possible I might just get the tube cut so I only run one .5 inch spacer. I hate my high bars I think their about 11.5 rise... That's a lot like to much I hop 18 inches flat now and when I take off all the spacers and get a front load I'll probs be doing about 22 maybe 24 if I'm lucky
Edit: I'm 5'6 and right now I'm growing so in about a week I'll be 5'7 I know this because when I grow I have massive pains in my knees and back so these bars are to damn fucking high

I won't go any higher than 8.25, I tried 8.5 and hated it.
But as with most things in bmx bar height is just personal preference.
