Im learning on a dirt stepup. I kick it out then i can't get back straight so i land sideways and eat shit. What do i do? And also how do i stop overjumping? I land in the last 6 inches of transition and it hurts

Are you pointing the bars forward again? Just wondering since you can land nearly fully kicked out and ride it out if your bars are pointing forward. Also watch the Chase Hawk how to motowhip video. I found that pretty helpful when I learned them.
And as for overclearing the jump just pull back off the lip more and you should be sweet.

you gotta turn the bars to 90 and push the rear end out. then turn them back and push back haha its cool, i just kinda did them. it feels right.

I do it differently. When I kick out, I bring the front kinda up, i go left, kicking the back to the right and down some, and to bring it back straight I kinda do the opposite, I bring the front down and right, and the back up and left a little.

Bars forward. It is all in your hips and shoulders. i lean over my bike (shoulders), keeping my bars straight, then i swing my hips, and sorta pinch my legs. after a few times of landing a bit sideways you'll figure out how far you can tweak it before you have to bring it back. leaning a bit forward and trying to swing it behind, then to the side sometimes helps. rather than just immediately trying to swing ti to the side and casing it.

i push my front end down and way, as well as turning my bars to keep parallel with the direction i am going, and i also tuck my bike as high as i can and drop my backside hip into it.
