Just ride what you ride. Honestly, weight doesn't alter any of your progress.

cut the top tube, seat tube, seat stays, 1 fork leg, and the crossbar in the handlebars off, ditch the seat shit and grips, ride with only 4 spokes in each wheel, cut holes in your tires, and drill holes in everything else including tubes

Look on this website www.veinbmx.com cheap/lightish parts. but honestly man, save your cash. Unless its breaking or will truly improve your riding, dont bother. I have a 35 pound haro backtrail x4 that i started on and STILL have, i ride it from time to time and i love the thing. it is beefy and heavy, but it makes the trick that much harder. i recommend just staying with it really, you will be happy in the long run that way, trust me. When you build up a bike that is around 22 pounds you will be very very glad you took this advice, you will be a stronger rider.

THIS. I took my friend's 40lbs+ shitty Diamondback and did a flat 360 on it just to prove his mentality of "I NEED a light bike to be good!" wrong. also a 19lb bike must feel horrible. I hate the way bikes that are too light feel

Thats the most retarded shit ive ever heard.....i can do everything on a heavier bike that i can do on mine.......weight doesnt matter unless your being a pussy about it and putting up invisible walls to have an excuse not to progress or try new tricks.......a 27 pound bike is fucken light, you probably couldnt bunnyhop an fbm angel of death frame, hit the weights

Light bikes are great unless some one farts near it and it dents the frame and flys you a cross the spot

I'm a punk bmxer, I can't do it well so I do it loud.

tbh, 27 ISN'T heavy. you can barely feel the difference between 25 and 27 so just go ride...

Your bike is fine. Only replace what you break. When I got back into riding, I went and bought a Redline Column. It was 22 lbs, and honestly, felt way too light, and I didn't like the feel of it at all. So I started changing parts and getting things together to build up a new set of wheels. I'm pretty sure my bike weighs around 25, it may be 27. It really doesn't matter because it feels great. Just keep it how it is. Save your money, you'll need to spend it eventually as you progress, so why rush it?
