Step 1:
Get the part you want to paint off your bike and wipe it down with an old rag to free it of dirt and dust.
my demolition fork is shown. i removed the top cap

Step 2.
Apply the paint stripper to the part- if using aircraft stripper it will work perfect within 15 mins with usually no sanding this time i used regular stripper and it took a few times. Spray on or pour on the stripper covering all areas of the bike part my fork shown. My spray can clogged so i poured it on still works the same.
BE SURE NOT TO GET THE STRIPPER ON ANY SKIN OR EYES OR MOUTH IT WILL BURN BADLY IF YOU DO IMMEDIATELY WASH WITH COLD WATER AND SOAP!

Step 3.
Wait for the stripper to start working about 15 minutes or until you see the paint bubble. You will have to repeat step 2 -4 multiple times for factory paint! when it starts to bubble use the plastic putty knife to scrape off the paint. get as much as you can.

Step 4.
When you have scraped most of the paint off take the part to a sink or tub or even out to a hose. rinse off remaining paint stripper. you might have to use a rag to get all the goo off. clean it up then repeat steps 2-4 for remaining paint on the part so with mine the other side of the fork until most of the paint is off.
NOTE: when using air craft stripper it should just wipe off no scraping needed.

I used a green pad to rub off all the goo and extra hanging paint

Step 5.
I repeated steps 2-4 a couple times until i was fed up lol so i started to sand with tough grit sand paper, then i used fine grit to smooth it out.

Step 6.
After sanding for about 10 minutes you should have a bare metal part i left the dropouts black and part of the weld on purpose. but it should be bare metal like below

Step 7.
Now you will want to hang the part from something so that you can evenly spray it from all angles to get a nice finish. I replaced the top cap used zip ties to hold it up and attached to a bungee cord hanging from a hook like pictured. Frames you will want to put a bungee cord through the headtube and attatch to hook and bars same as pictured below but use a bar end.

Step 8.
Make sure the bike part is wiped down and free of dirt and sanding dust before starting the paint.
Shake the adhesive promoter for about 2 minutes straight then apply the adhesive promoter in a thin coat using a sweeping motion make sure to stand atleast a foot or so away so that you wont get runs. apply one coat of the adhesive promoter evenly.
Wait 5 mins for drying.

should still look like bare metal when done painting

Step. 9
Within 5-7 minutes of applying the adhesive promoter start shaking up the duplicolor metal cast paint for 2 mins straight.
Then apply the paint over the adhesive promoter in a light even coat. standing a foot or so away so no runs REMEMBER A VERY LIGHT COAT ON THIS ONE.
[LINK TO IMAGE][/IMG]
you should be able to see some of the metal under the first coat wait 7 mins before applying second coat
Step 10.
Apply the 2nd coat of trans color paint in an even motion. The more coats you apply the darker the color. I applied 3 coats to my fork. Allow for the part to dry atleast 4 hours before touching. I let my fork dry about 8 hours.

No need to apply clear coat seeing it will mess up the paint atleast it did on the rear end of my colony frame it wasn't shiny so i reccomend no clear coat. The paint does tend to scratch easily within the first week so be very careful or dont ride the part for a week takes a while for trans colors to cure. Ask any ?s or anything you need here. Thanks guys hope I helped
