Agreed, however, you should still try both out so you aren't surprised when you try freecoaster out. Hell, my territory is flatland and I STILL use a cassette. Going in reverse with a cassette is harder even if you are off the pedals because the cranks will cause resistance when they roll backward, however, the balancing is the same, although on a much larger scale with a cassette, so you basically have to muscle it to go in reverse with any scuffing tricks.
